Edible Doggy Christmas Cards, What Next?
A novel range of 'doggy Christmas cards' came on sale in 2007.
The special canine cards are made of 100% rawhide, in festive designs they are completely edible! To dogs that is.
Dog owners' heads will probably be turning when they see these PetClub UK cards that are part of a 'carefully selected' range of Christmas gifts with the 'Greet Me-Eat Me' theme. The cards seem to be creating the most interest with dog lovers.
Dogs will love these rawhide cards, which are made of totally natural materials. The cards are perfect for dog owners wishing to choose the healthy option at Christmas, as apposed to chocolate or sweet biscuits for a Xmas doggy gift. The action of a dog gnawing on one of these cards cleans the teeth and keeps the gums healthy - anybody can see that, dogs really enjoy it too.
Owners can choose from the range that includes Reindeer, Xmas Pudding or Santa Paws card designs. Each 'Greet Me-Eat Me' card is sold in a pack that contains a coloured pillow envelope (allowing the card to be sent through the post). Each pack also includes its own notepaper to attach to the inside of the card for a personal greeting (to be removed before consumption). All colourings used in the 'Greet Me-Eat Me' cards are generated from safe natural vegetable colourings. This means the whole card can eventually be eaten by the recipient hound. 'Greet Me-Eat Me' cards are available for £4.99 from PetClub UK; there are probably other similar rawhide Christmas treats available from other suppliers.
