SOUTH WEST DOG TRAINER INTRODUCES CANINE FIRST AID CLASSES

Katie Scott-Dyer ADTB CFRI MOC is thrilled to announce a new kind of training class to the South West area; Canine First Aid classes! Katie’s vet Martin Brice BVSc MRCVS of Emerson Vets, Emersons Green, Bristol, has kindly offered to hold these unique and exclusive classes at his surgery. These are potentially life -saving skills and available to anyone aged over 16 years. The Canine First Aid course is E.F.R. (Emergency First Response) approved and has been devised in line with current protocols and guidelines. While the courses may suit businesses connected with dogs such as dog breeders, kennel staff, dog walkers & pet-sitters, dog groomers etc, it is also suited to all dog owners and those who don’t even own a dog can enroll as well!

All students will receive a Canine First Aid certificate of attendance, a face barrier kit, CD manual, DVD, jpeg of Carduseus (the medical symbol) and the skills are taught using a state of the art canine CPR manikin, CasPeR. You don’t need prior first aid knowledge and may save a dogs life someday! Classes launched on 18 th April 2009 at 3pm! Pre-booking is necessary, contact Katie for details. (Private classes are also available.) Further dates for the classes are as follows 16 th May, 13 th June, 18 th July, 15 th August and 19 th September. Check the websites for updates! Fees for this excellent class cost just £80 per person and ADTB and NARP members could receive a 12.5% discount!
