Feature - Lost your pet

lost pet

Lostyourpet was born out of 'Lostyournumber', a website for re-uniting lost human contacts.

The format is that each town in the UK has a message page of Lost and Found Pets. This system allows pet owners of lost pets to upload a photograph and easily search for lost and found pets in their local area. When you first register your lost pet in their database, it collects the main information and enables you to search their database by description of the lost pet and quickly find matches.

They have distributed A4 glossy posters to all Vets, Animal Shelters, Animal Wardens (council) and they are working their way through Pet Shops about their lost and found pet service. A total distribution to date of over 10,000 posters at their own cost at the moment!

The the lostyourpet.net site has grown in a huge way since it's launch in November 2004. Plans are underway to redesign the site, which will automatically email members when a 4/7 pet match arrives on our database. They have met with the Home Office who thought their lost pet ideas were excellent.
