ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL: THE LONDON PET SHOW 2011

 

London Pet show 2011London Pet Show, sponsored by Vanish, takes place from 7 - 8 May at the National Hall, Olympia. There will be something for everyone as Olympia will come alive with hundreds of animals under one roof; from the cute and cuddly to the weird and wonderful! The show will be a pet bonanza packed full of hundreds of different breeds of animals, amazing live animal action displays and fun and informative talks and discussions.

 

The London Pet Show, which is the UK’s largest pet exhibition, will have five exciting zones packed with dogs, cats, small furries as well as exotics and aquatics.

 

In the Discover Dogs zone, visitors can meet experts on numerous popular breeds of dogs, from Dalmatians to Dobermans, and get advice from owners and breeders on choice of breed, care and training. The Cat zone will be another popular attraction, where visitors can get advice on the different breeds and also find the latest cat goodies and gadgets to buy. The London Pet Show will also be bringing ‘Cat Agility’ to the UK for the first time and an expert from the US will be flying in to host this exciting feature at the show! There will be a couple of cat ‘celebrities’ on show in the Discover tarantulas form of Blue Peter’s gorgeous Socks and Cookie, as well as grooming demonstrations and informative talks on different types of breeds.

 

For something a little different look no further than the Discover Exotics and Aquatics area where there will be the chance to learn about a host of pets including tarantulas, giant hissing cockroaches, corn snakes, bearded dragons and leopard geckos to name just a few!

 

Rabbit jumping at the London Pet Show 2011Discover Small Furries will allow visitors to meet and stroke lots of different breeds of rabbits, plus guinea pigs, chinchillas, rats, mice, gerbils and hamsters. There will also be talks and demonstrations on grooming and claw clipping, and a display of rabbit show jumping.

 

 

 

In the Discover Pets zone you will be able to purchase all sorts of animal products and there will be lots of fun activities for children. Head over to the theatre for informative talks by leading animal behaviourists and TV vets, including ITV’s ‘Zoo Vet’, Matt Brash. In the Animal Action Area you will be able to watch lots of fun and exciting activities, from dog agility displays, to ferret racing and fun dog training demos.
