Iguana

Iguanas can generally be found throughout North and South America , with the exception of the colder or mountainous areas. There are a variety of species native to specific regions. The Genus Iguana is by far the most common. This is the one most favoured by pet owners.

This particular Iguana comes from Central and South America , where it can be found in a variety of habitats from the semi-desert to tropical rainforest.  They are imported in large numbers for the growing interest in the pet trade but unfortunately they often fall into the hands of inexperienced enthusiasts who do not understand how to care for them.

You should never keep two or more male Iguanas together as they are extremely territorial.
