What Westies Want

Two fluffy, cute, adorablepPets – two Westie owners and What Westies Want. Laura and I, each own a lovably loyal cute “Westie”. What do we chat about every day, (apart from Laura’s love life) you've guessed it - our “Westies” Max (Laura's) & Holly (mine). We are different age groups, have different social lives, live in different parts of the world, but two “Westie owners” crossed all of these boundaries and last year we created the company What Westies Want Ltd.

What Westies Want - what are we all about? Surely not yet another web site selling “Chocolate Box Westies”, “Westie Gift Mugs” and “Cute Westie Tee Shirts”. No, we wanted to create a company that supplies the everyday general pet items that a conscientious pet owner needs and at the same time throw in some fun and humour for good measure. We believe it is important look after your pet's health and we cater for that with our comprehensive range of care items, we also aim to provide for those that want to make their pet stand out in the crowd by supplying a variety of luxury goods and gifts. Our site also carries advertising for various pet services of which we have experience and therefore feel confident that we can recommend to other pet owners.

Our website also offers the bizarre allowing owners to have lots of fun with their pet e.g. Pet Wedding Dresses with Free Printed Wedding Certificates, I can hear the cries of "OH NO!" and "WHATEVER WILL THEY THINK OF NEXT?", but there's more - what about Superman outfits, Cowboy outfits, Ballerina Tu-tus etc. the list is endless. If you are going to a fancy dress party don’t leave you pet out, they can be a party animal as well. If you want to be Batman your pet could be Robin, if you want to be The Lone Ranger your pet could be Tonto - the combinations are endless and this can create so much more fun and entertainment!

The aim of What Westies Want is to offer all sorts of items for your Pet that you and your pet could ever want and at the same time offer them at prices to suit the pockets of pet owners everywhere..

Westie owners fall into a certain category, and Westie traits certainly come across in the owners. I found that when I originally wanted a West Highland White Terrier many years ago I nurtured this belief that I was going to get this gorgeous cute ball of white fluff and that she (I was always going to have a girl) was going to be a real lap dog who would give me no trouble at all – Boy was I mistaken! fussy, stubborn, independent, and moody - to describe a few of her mannerisms - and as she gets to mellow into an older lady now even more so.....yes very similar traits to her owner!

I can only relate to this as the owner of a Westie, although I am sure that it is evident in the owners of other breeds of dog, but when out and about do you find yourself spotting other Westies (even at a great distance) and feel the uncontrollable urge to go and engage their master ( I use the term loosely as I never really believe that I am Holly's master) in “The Westie Comparison Chat”? This weird phenomenon is happening at this very moment and it's happening out there on our streets, in our parks and in our woods! WHY DO WE DO THIS? Is it a psychological part of being a “Westie Owner”? Does getting our first Westie cause a change in our genes or chromosomes or whatever else makes us normal human beings. If our Westies could talk (well I know you would say they do actually) what do they think they would say about us as owners!! Mmmmmmm

Finally, if you are considering becoming a slave to a West highland White Terrier please don’t let us stop you, you are in for the best time of your life, enjoy every moment with your new pet, oh and of course don't forget to shop at WWW.WHATWESTIESWANT.COM
